La fraternelle - concert: Alexandre Herer "Bombay Experience

Indian rap, konnakol percussion and jazz pay tribute to endangered landscapes.
During an initial trip to India, Alexandre Herer discovered the strong presence of rap and beatbox in the country, which was later confirmed during several concerts in India with young students from a school in Dharavi, Bombay, and on several occasions he mixed this rap scene with his own music.
After 10 years of experimenting with the sound of his favourite instrument, the Fender Rhodes, Alexandre Herer met BC Manjunath, the master of konnakol - a vocal percussion technique derived from the Carnatic tradition of South India - and MC Manmeet Kaur, a committed Indian rapper and pioneer of a music rarely played by women.
Here he brings them together in a creative project that crosses the richness of India's cultures, past and present, in a jubilant exchange!
