La fraternelle > concert: Ostrakinda + Borders
📅 Saturday 9 November at 9pm
📍 Maison du Peuple, Saint-Claude.
Ostrakinda
- Olivier Lété I electric bass, compositions
- Aymeric Avice I trumpet, flugelhorn
- Toma Gouband I drums, percussion
Ostrakinda, the singular trio created by Olivier Lété, Aymeric Avice and Toma Gouband, has mapped out a new repertoire, at odds with the written forms of jazz...
The strings, stones and skins are rubbed, and the trumpet sometimes sounds like a horn from time immemorial. The almost tribal groove that animates this trio always carries the vocals, but it is also the vocals that at other times attract to themselves, as if magnetised, the formidable minimalism charged with the entire history of music that the bass and percussion allow themselves (...) The sound of this trio is quite unique. When you listen to it, it's almost like the smell of wood and earth in your ears after the rain. Philippe Ochem, Jazzdor

Borders
- Anett Tamm I vocals, lyrics, electric guitar
- David Chevallier I hybrid guitar, compositions
- Joaquim Florent I double bass
- Christophe Lavergne I drums
Written as a four-handed collaboration, Borders takes as its subject the border, the place where you can pass from one universe to another, from one culture to another, where you can confront the unknown. Anett Tamm met David Chevallier's trio in autumn 2018. The talent and professionalism of this young singer immediately seduced the three musicians and gave them the desire to build an original repertoire with her.
