A small village situated between 880 and 1260 metres altitude, right in the heart of the Jura mountains, Longchaumois offers a number of Nordic services and activities.
As a hamlet with a scattered population, you'll enjoy exploring the cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails and discovering the typical Haut-Jura habitat. And if you want to get off the beaten track, Nordic ski touring, off the groomed pistes, is just the thing.
And to discover this habitat, why not take one of the many snowshoe trails, from the village if conditions permit or from Rosset.
There are two possible departures from Longchaumois:
- Departure from the Rosset resort: this is the best known and offers the most runs and services: play area, first-aid post, ski lift, equipment hire, royalty sales, toboggan run, Nordic skier cross.
- Le Poteau departure: less well-known departure with fewer runs, but which links up with Les Rousses through the Bois de la Sambine (Les Arobiers red runs to Lamoura or Les Chevreuils red runs to Prémanon).
Downhill skiing: a green run, a snow line and a fun area.
Torch-lit descents and evening events are available during the holidays.
